FRi&SAT* re-cap: Dal, Mad-TOWN, and puppy love!

Hi Loves!! Omgoodness, I meant to update sooner than now! I apologize!
How is everyones weekend going?
Mine has been... EVENTFUL! :) Rich, Brutus, and I went down to Madison on Friday night, it was a little bit interesting, first long roadtrip for puppy... he finally settled in though, last time we traveled was when we bought him and he slept on mama's lap ;) this time he was in his crate.

Checkin out the scenery ;)

We introduced Brutus to his other set of Grandparents, and then went to Dobhan Restaurant  in  Madison, with Rich's parentals, it was his mom's birthday :) {sorry for the lack of photos, I was EXHAUSTED and just mowing down my food, and enjoying conversation;D}

Dobhan is an AMAZING place, awesome food, and the decor was pretty phenom. Dobhan: "serving fusion cuisine from Nepal and India, with a touch of Mediterranean influence."

I ordered a homemade veggie burger with a cup of dal soup (it reminded me of a bean soup w/ lots of different spices, so so good and FRESH.) ~ it was amazing.

Next time I go I want to try the Pakauda Veggie Fritters (in chickpea batter) and also the Medditerranean flatbread (w/ hummus. you had me at hummus.)

We woke up, I ordered a large soy caramel macchiato from Java Cat in Mad-Town (noms, ALWAYS get coffee there when we visit his parents) and had a huge bowl of oats. The birthday party started around noon, and then we hit the road ~ and ate lots of snacks (incl: popchips, and jalapeno pistachios---my newest obsession.)

Brutus says it all. We had a VERY lazy Saturday night;D

We definitely slept in yesterday, even the baby! ;)

Sunday & Labor day recap coming up after dinner ~ Its been a crazy one!

  1. Have you tried the sea salt and black pepper pistachios by Planters? They are my new obsession, but too addictive to keep in the house all the time.
